Obituary of Joseph Rossi

Joseph Rossi, 70, of Henryville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 4 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the long time companion of Louise Edmiston. Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Pietro and Elizabeth (Ursitti) Rossi. Joseph recently retired from the Liz Claiborne Distribution Center in Mt. Pocono. He was of Catholic faith and a veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to Louise, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Hangan of Bronx, New York; step-children, Lorraine Chiffarelli of Bronx, NY and Christopher Chiaffarelli of Dumont, NJ; five sisters, Palma Saviola, Marge Calandrino, Nellie Messina, all of NY, Cynthia Zarella of NC, Anna Carotta of NJ; a brother, Anthony Rossi of NY; two grandchildren, Anthony Mirando and Michael Hangan III; three step-grandchildren, Christopher Chiaffarelli of Bronx, New York, Nicholas and Michael Chiffarelli of NJ; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Rossi. A Blessing Service will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. There will be viewing on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service.
