Obituary of Thomas Beehler
Thomas S. Beehler, 58, of Tobyhanna, died Wednesday, November 1 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He was the husband of Geraldine (Leonard) Beehler, to whom he was married for twenty-two years.
Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late William B. and Julia (Kolodzey) Beehler. He was a 1967 graduate of Pocono Mountain High School.
Tom was employed at the Tobyhanna Army Depot as an equipment and supply clerk. He was in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972, serving in Vietnam.
A life-long resident of Monroe County, Tom was a founding member of the Pocono Mountain Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. He was a former Boy Scout Master of Troop #76, and a Scout Master for Troop #76 Venture Crew. He was a choir member at St. Ann's Church for the past 25 years. He also worked as a mason, and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, Geraldine, he is survived by two children; Nickolas Ryan Beehler and Katrena Marie Beehler, both of Tobyhanna; a brother, William Beehler and his wife, Barbara of Tobyhanna; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, November 7 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley.
Father Michael Kloton will conduct a Blessing Service at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
