Obituary of Marilyn Fultz

Marilyn K. Fultz, 63, of Long Pond, died Sunday, August 22 at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton following a three year battle with gastric cancer. She was the wife of Kenneth W. Fultz to whom she was married for 46 years. Born in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Martha (Wolfe) Koppenhaver. Marilyn graduated from Big Spring High School in Newville in 1964 and from East Stroudsburg University School of Nursing. She worked as an LPN at Pocono Hospital for several years during the 1980's. Marilyn helped to form and was a long time member and secretary of Coolbaugh Twp. Volunteer Ambulance Association which later became Pocono Mountain Regional EMS. Marilyn was of the Jehovah's Witness faith. In addition to her husband, Kenneth, Marilyn is survived by two sons: John R. Fultz and his wife Deborah of Long Pond and Kenneth W. Fultz, Jr. of Greentown; one daughter: Marci Kaye E. Fultz of West Pittston; three grandchildren: DeAnne, Justin and Sara Fultz. Elder Wilson Transue will conduct a funeral service on Thursday, August 26 at 10:30 am at the Prospect Cemetery Mausoleum, 501 Prospect St. in East Stroudsburg. Entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 25 North Sixth Street, Second Floor, Stroudsburg, Pa 18360.
