Obituary of MaryLou Moritz

MaryLou Moritz, 56, of Newfoundland, died Thursday, March 11, at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She was the wife of Carl Moritz III of Newfoundland. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter the late Louis and Mary (Bacon) Diggins. MaryLou was a member of St. Anthony of Padua in Newfoundland. In addition to her husband Carl, MaryLou is survived by one daughter, Carli Moritz of Newfoundland; two sons: Carl Joseph Moritz of Bethlehem and Brian Moritz and his wife, Jami of Stroudsburg; father and mother-in-law: Carl J. and Marilyn Moritz of Pocono Summit; three grandchildren: Sydney, Brandon, and Justin; and many nieces and nephews. Reverend Father Anthony Kurovsky will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 13 at 2:00 pm at St. Anthony of Padua, Route 191, Newfoundland. A visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of the Mass. Private Cremation was entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Wallenpaupack Area High School, 2552 Route 6, Hawley, Pa 18426 Attention: Girls Athletic Department.
