Obituary of Terry Becherer

Terry Becherer, 68, of Cresco, died Monday, December 28, 2015 at his home. He was the loving husband of Carolyn M. (Campbell) Becherer who shared 33 years of marriage. Born in St. Louis, MO, he was a son of the late Albert A. and Frances (Diefenbach) Becherer. Terry graduated from South West High School in St. Louis, MO in 1965. He lettered in basketball and attended South East Missouri State University; he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 1971. Terry is listed in the Who's Who in American College and University and was president of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity. He worked in sales for many years and later worked for the Monroe County Department of Welfare. In his spare time, Terry raised and bread Quail; which was a passion of his. In addition to his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by his children, Christopher David Becherer of Annapolis, MD; daughter, Jennifer Lee Becherer of Wilmington, N.C.; stepchildren: Diane Fedin Yanega of Dover, N.J., Kelly Fedin of Lancaster, John M. Fedin, Jr. of Saylorsburg, and Lisa Fedin of Cresco; siblings: Russell Becherer of Denver, CO, Albert Becherer of St. Louis, MO, Christina DeJarwette of St. Louis, MO, William Becherer of St. Louis, MO, and Joseph Becherer of St. Louis, MO; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Becherer. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
