I met Billy Boone back in the mid 60s in my formative years. He and mark Boone traveled together everywhere in
their Corvette which I think was Orange. Always laid back with a dry sense of humor he was a guy you just liked being around. He did the outdoor stuff but also played softball with the other guys of Pocono Lake. They were a great team especially since they played in bare feet to crank up the other teams in the league from surrounding towns. Bill used to come by my house in Locust with the other guys...Mark, Rosie, Ernie,Luke... a sort of gathering place,in the summer where we listened to tunes and drank a few beers. Everyone had a Corvette it seemed and we all went cruisin' together Those were great days. I will miss Biily Boone and I will never forget "Whats good for the Panther is good for the Bear".
