Kathy, “Buzzy”, Danny, Janey and families,
So sorry to hear of the passing of Eddie. Our sincerest condolences for your loss. He was a good friend to Jim and a fine gentlemen! Those two were a pair!!! I remember having a conversation with Jim and Ed some years ago after my Mom passed. My Aunts informed me they were climbing trees and wood piles to cut and gather wood. My Aunt's were concerned they would get hurt but neither of them would listen to the women. So the next time I visited home I went to breakfast with the two of them and asked how the wood quest was going. They brought me up to speed on their adventures and mis-adventures. I gently worked in the question of why these two old goats were still climbing up in trees and atop wood piles to get their "booty". Jim looked at me and said they were the youngest of the group.....everybody else was too old (Jim was about 80 and Eddie was probably about 77 at the time). I insisted they both give me their words of honor that neither of them would climb anymore trees or climb atop any wood piles. They were to keep their feet firmly on the ground when they went wood hunting.
Your father was a good man!
Sincerely, Heath & Melissa Thomas (James Warners stepson and wife)
