Trisha & family, I was so shocked & so very saddened to hear of your dad's death. Trish, you are the one who "reconnected" your dad & my husband ("Lee") when you called awhile back. They had been writing to one another ever since. Lee was so glad when you called & he was able to reunite with his old service buddy. I had to laugh when they started corresponding with each other. Lee would no sooner get a letter “off” to your dad & there would be another one from your dad in the mail-box & vice versa!! They were so eager to keep in touch!! My husband was in heaven waiting to greet his old friend "Bucky" as my husband died 01/12/14 but he was not "put to rest" until 01/23/14 & your dad died 1/22/14. It's ironic that Lee & his old servce friend - "Sarge" - died 10 days apart. It brings a "smile to my face" that the two Air Force buddies are once again "reunited". I can picture the two of them in heaven -"arms around each other as they greeted one another". I will hold the image of that close to my heart". Your dad used to speak highly of his wife & his kids. You all were special to him as he loved you all so very much. He was so proud of his family. Our thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. Love - Aurora Duncan & Caleb & Anjelee Skar
