Bernie,Remembering all the good parties at Garys Bayshore house- can't think of one party you ever missed. Alot of good times! Debbie and joey are very lucky to have you in their lives.We all love and miss you very much- But we will see you again- I've read up on EVERYTHING since Walter left- and I know we'll all meet again... Debbie, One memory that comes to mind is when you and Bernie asked us to Bogie sit when you went on vacation. It was the Syosset Apt remember the Apt that the LIRR train came thru (or so it felt) about every 2 hours. Anyway Darlene & I thought it was great our own Apt for a week. Then Day two we (DARLENE) lock the keys in the Apt & we proceed to borrow a ladder and climb to the upstairs window - when your gentleman neighbor kindly offers to assist - he climbs the ladder & is climbing in the window & we hear Bogie GROWLING & barking like we've never heard before & the neighbor says is he okay? & Darlene yells yeah he's friendly, keep going. I half expected Bogie to attack the guy but thankfully he didn't, he was able to unlock the door for us in one piece. Then when you two returned I remember geing worried Bernie would get mad at us (DARLENE)for being irresponsible & putting his friends life in danger but when we told yas the story he thought it was hysterical. I don't think anyone could have a bad word to say against Bernie - as he was One of a Kind. Love, Donna

Bernie, you've gone to a better place of which I am happy for you as you will no longer be in pain; however I know I'll think of you every day and you'll be in my heart, thoughts and prayers every day. I am so glad you came into my life, you were always a pleasure to talk to and I respected you as a very special person. I always loved you and shall do so forever. I know God will take care of you. I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the Rogan family. Bernie was truly a nice, sincere and honorable man. He was one of the first people I met when I first came into Local 12. He was always kind to me. He always talked about his son and his wife with such admiration and respect. Whenever he talked about his son, his face would beam with pride. I am so sorry that he is gone but I truly believe that he is in heaven. Bernie was a good union man but he was even a better person. I am honored to have called Bernie my union brother and my friend. May God bless the Rogan family and may he keep Bernie close to Him always. Please know that you will always be in my prayers.
