Words for Paul (cont pag 3). Paul, you left us too soon. But you left us with many great memories. We spent so many good times with you from your Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, high school graduation and many events in between like watching your band play in Stroudsburg with cotton in our ears, and just being with you at our many Christmas parties and family gatherings. You brought us close. Physically close in tiny waiting rooms praying when you only had a 5% chance. And, gratefully God gave you back to us for awhile. The love that brought us to you made us spiritually close. There is no stronger bond or deeper love than that which you have given this family. So Paul, your challenge now to us is to take your inspiration and live our lives by your motto. Live now, N-O-W, no opportunity wasted. Whether it is taking time for a simple hug or a big adventure, live every moment to its fullest. That is what is what Paul did and Paul, that will be your legacy. So, my sweet Godson, may God now hold you as closely as you held us.

Words for Paul (cont pg 2). Some knew Paul as a student. He loved college and attended until Monday. Some knew Paul as a co-worker. He loved his job and described it to me like this – we make really cool parts for really cool things. Paul was blessed with many good friends who were always there in both the fun times and the hard times. Some of his friends knew Paul as something of an inventor; you know who you are and you know what I mean. With capable hands and an inquisitive mind Paul could fix broken things, find new uses for ordinary things and rocket launch a number of things. We all knew Paul as someone with an adventurous spirit and a zest for life. Paul knew many joys and many challenges but he knew one thing more than anything else; he loved being part of this family. Paul very bravely overcame hardships that most would never know even if they lived two lifetimes. But, through everything he always had a smile. That smile that would say hey, I’m alright. To put it in his words, “Trust me, I’m a Doctor”, and he had the t-shirt to prove it.

Words for Paul from his Mass: Everyone knew Paul in their own way, and there were many ways to know Paul. Paul and Mary knew Paul as a son, and Paul loved his Mom and Dad. He loved fixing his car with his Dad and his Mom always knew what parts he needed. Paul loved going out in the world, but what he loved most was coming home and sharing time with his family. Even just hanging out with them watching TV or a movie, he was happy. For him his Dad was strong and steady, his Mom always full of love. Colleen and Michael knew Paul as a brother sharing good times and hard times. Paul loved Colleen and even bragged about her at times, though I don’t think she knew it. Paul loved Michael and that was apparent to the family who shared time with them in Hilton Head. Michael, we know that he was only kidding about selling you on Ebay. Paul’s Grandparents knew him as an always adventurous Grandson. They were very active in his life, watching him grow, and wanting the best for him. His Aunts and Uncles knew Paul as a kid that you could love as your own. His many cousins loved him like a brother. cont.
