Obituary of Carolyn Hailey

Carolyn Hailey, 63, of Mt. Pocono, passed away on September 4, at Mercy Hospice in Scranton. She was the wife of Musa Bey. Born in Harlem, New York, she was the daughter the Mary (Hopkins) Hailey. Carolyn worked as a CNA at New York Founding Hospital for abused children for over 36 years, and most recently as a substance abuse counselor at Regency Hospital in New York. She was a member of Pocono Community Church. In addition to her husband, Musa, she is survived by two sons, Kevin Howard, USAF, of New York and Eric Howard of Tobyhanna; three step-sons, Rodney Johnson of New York, Karron Johnson of New York, Rondel Johnson of Tobyhanna; three grandchildren, Brianna, Jada and Eric Howard; and a host of family and friends. The Reverend David Crosby will conduct a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 13 at the Pocono Community Church in Mt. Pocono.
