Obituary of Lourdes Czekaj-Iturrey

Lourdes Rene Czekaj-Iturrey, 27, of Miami Gardens, Florida, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 6 in Broward County, Florida. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of Ricardo and Anna (Czekaj) Iturrey of Tannersville. A graduate of Pocono Mountain East High School, Lourdes worked at her family's restaurant, The Forks at Buck Hill in Mountainhome. She received her BS in sociology and her masters in communications at Florida International University. Lourdes was employed as an inspection supervisor for the KONE Elevator Company in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was a kind and loving person, who will be sadly missed by all. In addition to her parents, Ricardo and Anna, she is survived by two brothers, Ricardo and David Iturrey, and a sister, Lauren Iturrey, all of Tannersville; paternal grandmother, Maria Iturrey of Miami, FL; maternal grandmother, Hedwig Czekaj of Elizabeth, NJ; Uncles and Aunts, Andrew and Margaret Czekaj of Naples, FL, Mary and Richard Wilusz of Tannersville, Karolina and David Trevana of Clinton, Corner, NJ; and cousins, Andrew, William, and Katie Czekaj; Richard, Eric, Julian, and Joshua Wilusz; and Emma and Olivia Trevana. There will be a viewing on Friday, November 12 at the Bolock Funeral Home in Cresco from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 13 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in Canadensis, Pa. Burial will follow the mass at Seese Hill Cemetery in Canadensis.
